Krushuna Waterfalls
The largest cascading waterfall in Bulgaria — turquoise cascades amid greenery.
The Krushuna Waterfalls are among the most beautiful natural landmarks in Bulgaria, set near the village of Krushuna, about 35 km from Pleven.
The water descends along a series of travertine cascades formed by limestone deposits, taking on a distinctive turquoise colour amid the dense greenery.
Convenient wooden walkways and footbridges lead alongside the waterfalls and up the slope, offering striking views at every step.
The site is beautiful all year round — fresh and full of water in spring, a cool refuge in summer, and scenic in autumn.
Nearby are the Devetashka Cave and a monastery complex, making it possible to combine several landmarks in a single day.
The walk is suitable for the whole family — an easy route through nature, about 40 minutes by car from Hotel Rostov.
Good to know
Wear comfortable shoes; the paths can be wet close to the water.
